Anne Arundel
Association for Family and Community Education
We are the Anne Arundel County Association for Family and
Community Education. We are affiliated with the Maryland Association
for Family and Community Education as well as the National
Association for Community Education. Our group is open to all
interested persons without regard to race, color, sex, handicap,
age, religion or national origin. Our goals include, supporting the
use of seat belts, non-violent TV programming, improving literacy
skills, character education, and awareness of environmental and
health issues.
Objectives of the
AAAFCE
To provide educational opportunities for people so that they,
through their own initiative, may effectively identify and cope with
various problems affecting their welfare.
To strengthen, develop and extend adult education programs in the
home, family and community life in cooperation with the Cooperative
Extension of the University of Maryland.
Our Meetings
Anne Arundel Association for Family and Community Education meets
at 10:00 AM on the first Friday of each month (except June, July,
August and December) at the Severna Park Library, McKinsey Road,
Severna Park, Maryland. Local Clubs meet at various locations around
the county.
